Stephen Jepson received his MFA in ceramics from Alfred University in 1971.
In the same year he established his studio, Jepson Pottery, in Geneva, Florida. The World Pottery Institute is located here as well. Stephen has taught many ceramic classes here.
Jepson Pottery focuses on decorative accessories and functional ware for cooking and serving: from simple earthy stoneware mugs to elegant, richly decorated porcelain plates and vases.
Everything is designed with function in mind to be not only beautiful, but a pleasure to use.
Many of these items have been made in a ceramics class at the studio. Stephen has taught pottery wheel classes in his ceramic studio for many years.

In 1972, Stephen started the ceramics program at the University of Central Florida, where he taught for 8 years.
In 1993, he produced his award winning pottery instructional video collection.
In 1998, he started his own pottery school, the World Pottery Institute.
Through his personal instruction and video series, Stephen has influenced thousands of potters from around the globe.
With over 40 years of experience as a professional potter, he is highly skilled in production throwing on the potters’ wheel as well as making large one-of-a-kind pieces.
His work has been seen in more than 40 regional and national juried and invitational exhibitions. Stephen participates in museum shows, and galleries all over the world. He has won numerous awards, and is included in:
